We are in receipt of your favour of 26th February inst., which to our regret we must return to you herewith as the declaration contained therein does not answer our purpose. What we asked you for was a confirmation to the effect that you are jointly and severally responsible for the reimbursement/credit granted to the Hamburg House by us. Although this is more or less a matter of formality, we require the said declaration for the completion of our files.
